I was going to wait to do this: the opium den of rememberance
but I’m like Jessie in this bitch, I’m so excited! We got some shots from the photoshoot we did on Sunday for the capsule collection I am releasing this year with the fine folks at Legacy Brand Clothing Company/Athena Rowe, which is something they are calling the Muse Collection*. This is a huge deal for me, because you all know by now I am feeling very much like I should live up to my potential and be the female equivalent of James Franco. You keep hearing me say that, but let me explain. He does EVERYTHING. And so do I.
So, to add to all the other things I already do, I have also been working on some design and styling. I got to combine my skills on the shoot Sunday with Bruce Yonce.
I don’t want to give too much away (unless you’re my friend on Facebook, then you get all the good sneak peeks anyway, because I suffer from fbook related impulse control issues), but I had some great, beautiful models help me out who were everything I could have hoped for and more, as well as Kina of Spotted Zebra Artistry (MU), and DeShaunta Phillips Lane (Hair) who made up our team of style-goddesses.
So, I made clothes. I really got into it and did a fair share of drawing and sewing and building for this shoot and I can’t wait for you guys to see it all. For now, I’ll give you a preview, because everybody in the place is getting totally Jessie Spano and I can dig it.

so, this is a shot of me. I get to credit myself as model, designer, stylist, set designer, and creative director for this shoot. So, yeah, it’s pretty cool.

Legacy Brand Clothing Company 2011 Muse Collection
the collection was inspired by the quote I always go on about
“In the world of the dreamer there was solitude: all the exaltations and joys came in the moment of preparation for living. They took place in solitude. But with action came anxiety, and the sense of insuperable effort made to match the dream, and with it came weariness, discouragement, and the flight into solitude again. And then in solitude, in the opium den of remembrance, the possibility of pleasure again.”
Anaïs Nin
so keep ‘em peeled, sports fans. There’s more, more, more!
*for each campaign, designers Sascha Morello and Carter Donovan of Legacy Brand Clothing Company, along with eco-accessories designer, Athena Rowe, choose a model to be their muse. She becomes the fit model for the collection, as well as the spokesperson for the brand. Legacy’s Model Muse is chosen based on her portfolio, general appearance, personality, and efforts to improve the state of the world on an ecological level. Legacy Brand Clothing Company specialized in “Green design,” using redesign and reconstruction on existing garments, as well as creating unique pieces and believes strongly in the idea that to reduce, reuse, and recycle is as fashionable as they come.
