Oh, I’m being so shy tonight that it’s almost painful. Your movie rocks. I’m always amazed when someone I know can do something wonderful and hopeful, and sweet and beautiful…. because we are all usually so ironic and embarrassed and self-deprecating. You know?
Typically, I am a little embarrassed by this art project, thinking you’re too cool to care about it, or worried I might not be cool enough for all the punks and hipsters and who-the-fuck-evers I’m supposed to be trying to impress this week.
So what?
You make beautiful things. I admire and respect you. It makes me want to talk to you and learn from you . That’s all.
